Safety and Well-being
Walking among branches and other debris is not always safe.
Tell someone where you are going and how long you'll be away.
Be alert and aware of your surroundings, avoid isolated areas.
Children should always be under the supervision of a responsible adult.
Wear strong sturdy shoes.
Bring sunscreen and sunglasses.
Don't forget your mosquito repellent.
Bring some water with you.
Bring a first aid kit. It doesn't have to be fancy, a few items will do.
How to build your own First Aid Kit?
Stay away from contaminated water and grounds.
Be aware that water can rise very fast in some areas. Always ask a local person about the area.
Be aware of wild life: driftwood provides shelter to a range of shore-loving organisms from snakes, mosquitoes to spiders...
